Some of the AMGs, such as VII( as in say Ab Lydian environment over a G7) initially seem a bit remote from C major, yet ,Ab is only only one fifth away from the LT of C minor. Carrying this a little further I guess you could say that B Lydian (AMG +V for G7+5) is only one fifth away from Gb, the LT ...

I don't have my book handy but I think that diagram represents the three forces mentioned at the end of the book, passive, active, and neutral. Vertical Tonal Gravity is passive. I love that line at bars 14 and 15. I hear two other things when I slow it down: 1. right after the A natural in bar two I hear an Ab..setting up a Bb7 change. 2. The top note of a chord. If I'm playing an F blues and at some point I play a D7#9#11 with G#/Ab on top I'm simultaneously aware and hearing that note as the b3 of an F blues scale.
