Re: chart A. 7th#9 chord @(VII) of lyd. aug. !?

Well, looking the chord progression and the chord isolated we have this tones: Gm7: G-Bb-D-F, then A7#9: A-C#-E-G, and last BbMaj7#11: Bb- D-F-A-(E). So, the A7#9 chord is a second option of G Lydian, and the degree with more ingoing tones is the G Lydian Dimished (G-A-Bb-C#-D-E-F#). I don't see any...

Re: Is appropiate to ask about chart intervalo for horizonta

It´s interesting Chesper like you said. The scale you suggest goes like this (since 9 T.O. leads to Lydian Dimished Scale): Eb- F- Gb(F#)- A-Bb-C-D, with the only abscence of the tonic of the chord (G). It seems to be the more plausible option indeed.

Re: Is appropiate to ask about chart intervalo for horizonta

Thanks for the explanation Anatole!!! After posting and reposting on this thread I arrived at the same conclusion that you gave me, and I´m going this way. Using the Interval Chart I arrive at the Auxiliary Dimished Scale, which contains both IV and #IV of the chord, the bIII and the VII, all added ...

Re: Is appropiate to ask about chart intervalo for horizonta

I want to put more in perspective the thread. Let's think that we are generating scales from our own. And in one of these scales, when we must to deal with chords, it's appear some one that is very narrow to label. I.E. this: G-Bb-D#-F#. Well, it's a minor one with major seventh and fifth raised, bu...

Re: Is appropiate to ask about chart intervalo for horizonta

Thanks!!! It's very interesting but I see that in the view of the author only one can access to horizontal intervals when we arrive at 11th tonal order, and following this path it remains only one interval, the bII.

Re: Is appropiate to ask about chart intervalo for horizonta

Hi: I have the fourth edition, and in the first page there is the Chart A, and didn´t found the one you describe. Can do you post it? My question is if there is an interval chart in the same way that there is a vertical interval chart in the first and second edition (I have it both of them). Thanks ...

Is appropiate to ask about chart intervalo for horizontal sc

Well, I'm following my own path, and in my new scales that I use to compose and to improvise I bump with chords that I can label in the usual ways, so I called "new denominación chords", and, in order to understand better where the chord primaly belongs I need to complete it with his exten...

Re: Back to the Interval Chart.

I´m using my own interpretation of the Interval Chart over Giant Steps, and I want to share some stuff I recorded with it. The melody has some wrong tones, it´s only to show how my approach can give another perspective to the Chart. Hope do you enjoy it....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82kuoz8...

Re: Back to the Interval Chart.

Thanks Chesper, what a fool am I!!!! I´m so comfortable with the Tonal Orders that I forgive that in the view of the LCCOTO this interval, the b2, appears at last, in the 12 T.O.!!!! All the questions and doubts about the chart leads me to form several ways to achieve what I formerly on this thread ...

Re: Back to the Interval Chart.

Another point I should know is, always in reference of Db over a C Lydian Chromatic Scale, what is the scale more ingoing on this universe??? Using my common sense I think that it can be a +IV degree of G Lydian, that is C# (Db)-D-E-F#-G-A-B, because this scale only change the root of the C Lydian f...

Re: Back to the Interval Chart.

Thanks Chesper!!!! I have both of them, and searching in the forum I search your transcription of the Inteval Chart into a sheet music. It´s very interesting, I wonder why Russell changes the order of the tones for the original chart for the founded in the second one? In your graphic I can see that ...

Back to the Interval Chart.

Hi: Since I returned to the chart I discover how valuable it is, but I´m not very sure about the use of it, or almost if I´m understanding it in the real way. I start with the statement that this chart shows the behaviour of all kinds of intervals over a Lydian Tonic. I´m right on this? If it´s true...

And a last question to Jeff arguments...... Why C Lydian Scale sounds so well over C Major7 chord???? It's simply audition.....
