Exactly strachs, well put. This is a subject I really enjoy talking about! If it was on the same subject of this topic I would rant and rant... and rant some more! :D :D :D I attempted to have a beginning guitar student but... He was infuriated by my insistence of not teaching basic chords until he ...

Excellent... Straight forward and to the point! strachs, I agree with motherlode about your contribution to this thread and forum alike. Thank you!! :D I'm going to let some of my friends/students check this out... I'm sure they don't understand why I am such a harsh advocate for learning the cycle ...

I had the idea of calculation using only the circle of fifths... It never worked out because I only used a straight line as a center figure, and couldn't remember how a hexagon was shaped. :D :D I once went to the extent of writing down the angles or geometrical shapes of all of the intervals based ...

The prospect of exchanging 'living' files is so exciting!! Oh yes! I agree entirely! A while back I spoke about having a designated area for people here to upload their music... If someone finds a free site that uses the Scorch plug in (since I refuse to do that labor :D) I would be more than happy...

For me, no.

Are you in need of source material? There is plenty of it out there if so... Especially if it is a paper about both subjects.

Hey Mother, why don't you use a free site that supports the Scorch plugin?
-I myself have never been able to find any "free" sites that use it... So it might be a lost cause.

Scorch is a tad glitchy on FireFox...
-At least, last build it was.

Oh god! I've been wonderin' the same thing!

It does have the Coltrane changes triangle so... Maybe his book?
-I cannot get my hands on it so I do not know.

It's a bit more in-depth than pictures I have seen of his diagrams...

I loved your perfect second tonal gravity composition.
-I still have a copy!

The bass line was extraordinary! What program did you use to get those synth effects?

Umm... If you didn't compose this my bad. I couldn't find the actual post.

Well the Aux. Aug. scale is notorious for sounding dreamlike... Its key center is an odd one also, such as eternally playing descending 3rds. It's useful for me whenever I am trying to lean away from a resolution. Even infinitely! Tertain harmony isn't too terribly applicable for this scale. Fifths ...

I kind of feel like this melds with the harmonic conditioning thread...

Well all threads on this forum weave together now that I mention it.

I've always just related things of this matter to the circle of fifths. Seems fitting in my opinion. It's still so odd...
